Team Boomerang consists of 23 girls in the ages between 18-28 years. Most of the girls are from the neighborhoods of Gothenburg but this season we also have several foreign skaters. Two skaters are from Finland, one girl is from France and one girl is from Italy. These girls have all moved to Gothenburg to skate with us and we are very happy for that.

We have known for a few years that Worlds are going to take place in Sweden. Now it is finally time and we are very excited to skate and perform not only in Sweden but in our home town. Last year we took a big step forward as a team and with our results and that have encouraged us to work hard to deliver the best we can even this time.

Our season begins in May and ends with the Worlds in April. During a common training week, we exercise about five to six times. Mostly we practice on ice but once a week we have dance lessons with our choreography coach. Several times a week we also have off-ice practice. We practice to become more mentally strong, learn how to eat right when exercising, and analyze our skating through video and review.

During a season we travel on four training camps in which we exercise three times a day. During this season we are participating in six competitions, three in Sweden and three international competitions. Our first international competition will be French cup in Rouen, France. Two weeks later we are heading towards Spring Cup, Milano in Italy. We are hoping to skate at our best and get good and useful feedback to be even better at Worlds.

In our short program we skate to Tango music, which is a strong and powerful theme. The theme of the free program is Bollywood, and we perform with a lot of happiness. With our two programs we hope to affect the audience with the intensity of our characteristic programs.

We wish all participating teams good luck during the following competitions and we look forward to see you in Gothenburg.

LYCKA TILL!
Lots of love, Team Boomerang - Sweden 2
